Ice – the hard facts

Aim: If sugar or salt is dissolved in water, will it still freeze? 

Results: the salt and sugar get in the way of the water particles which stops it from forming into a solid. Although, it partially froze, it was not as hard as pure ice. We compared this to ice lollies.
